From Isla Cristina (Huelva), Spain
The origin of USISA products—the municipality of Isla Cristina—stands as one of the company’s greatest assets. This location is at the heart of their business culture and shapes many of their commitments. Their expertise is unique, rooted in the local Isla Cristina tradition inherited and passed down through generations. USISA is dedicated to the coastal resources, techniques, and invaluable know-how of Isla Cristina’s fishing fleets, using only local resources to support this rich heritage.
Today, the second and third generations of the founding family work together at USISA, blending tradition and experience with advancements in innovation, digitalization, and production modernization. Both generations share a unified goal: to satisfy every customer. In doing so, USISA has grown steadily while remaining true to its Isla Cristina origins and age-old traditions. This enduring commitment has earned the company international recognition over nearly 50 years.
USISA’s production remains 100% manual, adhering to the centuries-old tradition of hand-skinning fish fillets and carefully placing them one by one into tins. This meticulous process ensures the fish are perfectly cleaned and maintains the integrity of each fillet, which is essential to the outstanding quality for which USISA is known.
This careful, artisanal approach is paired with the highest quality raw materials. All fish are seasonal, rich in nutritional value, and preserved naturally in 100% natural covering liquids like olive oil, sunflower oil, tomato sauce, or simply water and sea salt.
